Gregory enjoys an impressive track record of over two decades in the world of executive search, advising the investment management, private equity, real estate, technology, and energy industries. He has been responsible for multiple strategic hires at the C-suite and senior management levels for an array of public and private companies in the US, Europe, and Asia. He started his career working with some of the industry’s leading firms, such as Solomon Page Group’s diversified practice, Heidrick & Struggles’ global financial services practice, and FPL Advisory Group, where he focused on commercial real estate search. In 2006, Gregory founded his own firm, Newbridge Search Consultants, a New-York-based company that provides leadership consultation to the financial services, real estate, and energy sectors. As a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), he has been guest speaker at their annual conference. He has also appeared as speaker and moderator at The Global Real Estate Institute conferences in New York, London, and Paris; the Crittenden Real Estate Finance Conferences in Miami; and New York’s Columbia University Real Estate Roundtable.
Gregory also possesses a wealth of experience in the performing arts world. Besides having trained as a classical singer in his early years, Gregory also managed and co-produced various concerts in venues in the USA and Europe, such as New York’s Lincoln Center, Washington’s Kennedy Center, and London’s Cadogan Hall, where he collaborated with renowned soloists such as Martha Argerich, Mischa Maisky, ensembles from the New York Philharmonic, as well as with the production teams for Broadway shows of Stephen Sondheim and director James Lapine. In addition, Gregory has worked in film and is currently producing and directing a documentary on the life of an opera singer who escaped his home country of Germany during World War II.
Gregory is a graduate of New York University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Educational Theatre and Music, with a focus on creating transformative arts programs in schools, cultural institutions, and community settings. He serves on the Executive Board of Children of Promise, NYC, a non-profit that removes barriers caused by trauma and stigma in order to create opportunities for children to thrive and achieve their full human potential. He also is a member of the Founding Committee of the Epicenter Venice Music Festival, where in addition to supporting the broader aims of the initiative, he lends his experience to the festival’s Youth Outreach Scheme and Young Artist Performance Programme.
